Perched on top of a granite hillock in the midst of a vast expanse of the Aravalli Range, surrounded by hills dotted with havelis, villages and temples, Alila Fort Bishangarh is a 230-year-old warrior fort converted into a luxury heritage resort. This historic landmark is a unique example of Jaipur Gharana architecture, influenced by both the Mughals and the British. Alila Fort Bishangarh is the ideal abode for you to live like a royal as you explore the grandeur and charm the region has to offer.

The luxury resort’s amenities are certainly befitting a king. Explore the grounds of the ancient fort on a warrior horse before ending your day at the Spa Alila, with a rejuvenating massage and curated bath experience. The dining experience is as royal as it gets with cuisines inspired by the Silk Route to local Rajput cuisine, which is cooked in sand pits and on open flame. If you are feeling indulgent, the resort also offers a cognac and cigar lounge.

HolidayIQ reviewer Ajay Singh Rathore writes: “6 of us (friends) arrived by our own car and were taken to the fort in a nice gypsy from the base level haveli! We were greeted by the most attentive staff. Wet towels were offered along with water and a welcome drink. There was a lovely a-la-carte choice menu and again the staff were outstandingly attentive! They are definitely there to serve you and to think of your every need. The grounds of this beautiful property must be discovered, you will be surprised as you turn each corner of the utter beauty that awaits you! The room was gorgeous and extremely comfortable. We were given a fabulous tour of the fort & the base haveli. There are multiple places where one can have every different meal. We enjoyed the breathtakingly beautiful sunset views from the pool area as the colours of the fort change while the sun sets and it is truly beautiful. We were very sorry to leave this hotel it was absolutely outstanding. Well done Alila staff amazing… Will surely give this property a 5-star with a positive recommendation to stay here…”

The staff was very good & polite, Niti & Jyoti were great. The hotel is located inside JSW township and has a small museum located next to it called Kaladham (a must visit).”

Hyderabad: A tale of two cities – the old and the new

The city of Hyderabad is steeped in history and the remnants of the Qutb Shahi and Nizam rules still remain today. The Qutub Minar remains a symbol of the city, while the Golkonda Fort is not to be missed either. The Old City in Hyderabad is teeming with chai shops and spice markets, which oozes old world charm. The cuisine remains one of the biggest draws, through which the city is listed as a UNESCO creative city of gastronomy. The other contrast of Hyderabad is its new age Hi-Tech City or Cyberabad, which is filled with glittery malls, multiplexes, clubs and fancy restaurants.

Hyatt Hyderabad Gachibowli is the perfect base for you to explore both sides of the city. The hotel, located in the heart of the business hub will cater to all your needs, be it with friends or family. Sightseeing tours can be organised through the property, but if you are looking to simply relax, you will be well taken care of. Enjoy regional-inspired cuisine at the award winning Collage. If you’re looking for a quiet evening with your special someone, then head out to the pool side bar illuminated by the moonlight.

HolidayIQ reviewer Karan Bajaj writes: “The service provided by the hotel staff was excellent. Room was very clean and spacious. The quality of food was the best. The rate of overall stay was genuine and affordable. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean with proper running water. The environment was favourable and decent. My stay was peaceful and nice. I will love to visit Hyatt Hyderabad again.”

And if you are a whisky connoisseur, the Single Malt & Co. will keep you enthralled with their selection of the best whiskies from around the world.

With the new normal keeping you home all the time, the hotel can provide you with a much needed escape, where you can work while not worrying about any of the everyday stresses. Moreover, they welcome the entire family, which includes your pets owing to their pet friendly apartments – a luxurious home away from home.

HolidayIQ reviewer Atishay writes: “This hotel is probably one of the best 5-star properties that I have stayed at in Pune. The hotel is different from other hotels that I have been to. The staff is warm and friendly. I wanted a late check out and they agreed to delay the check out time for me. I was here for New Year’s. The buffet breakfast in the morning was great and I was surprised that the staff was on their feet in spite of it being New Year’s. The rooms are spacious, neat and clean. The location is excellent as it is located at Viman Nagar which is not very far from Koregaon Park. I got an excellent room rate despite the fact that it was New Year’s night.”
