The Bajaj and Talwar families celebrate with one of the most epic weddings Chandigarh has ever seen!
This story started almost a decade ago. From best friends in school to life partners as adults, Aarti and Navdeep are always there for each other. They married each other in a grand Chandigarh wedding last year. Both of them have been an important part of each other’s life for so long that the families were ecstatic that they finally decided to make it official. Here are some of our favourite moments from this crazy celebration!
Part 1: Welcome dinner
The wedding celebrations started off with a casual and relaxed family dinner. But knowing them, things were bound to get exciting! Pretty soon, both the families were dancing and singing into the early hours of the morning.

Part 2: Mehendi and Sangeet night
The Talwars and Bajaj’s had separate mehendi events at their homes in Chandigarh city. It was a warm winter afternoon with laughter and joy all around.

The sangeet was the event everyone had been waiting and practicing for. After all, Punjabis know how to party the best! There were some amazing family performances followed by a super energetic after party.

Part 3: Sufi night and Haldi
The Sufi night was a musical evening followed by a night of more dancing. When we said that the Punjabis know how to party, we weren’t kidding. And Aarti and Navdeep wanted to have the best time of their lives celebrating their wedding with their family and friends.

Aarti’s haldi and chooda ceremony was a quiet and love-filled event. Being such a caring and lively person, she is adored by everyone in the family.

Navdeep’s haldi on the other hand was a wild affair. He was splashed with beer and his friends made sure that he was covered in haldi all over.

Part 4: Anandkaraj (Sikh wedding ceremony)
Their Anandkaraj (Sikh wedding ceremony) was on a beautiful and warm winter morning in Chandigarh.

Aarti looked gorgeous in a Shyamal and Bhumika lehenga for her wedding day. She was nervous but also excited to be finally getting married to her best friend.

The wedding ceremony was followed by a relaxed afternoon with family and friends. The Unplugged Project made the afternoon livelier with their upbeat music.

Aarti’s vidaai was extremely emotional for her and her family. She is cherished dearly, so it was very difficult to bid goodbye to her.
